The maintenance and upkeep of welding tools mainly include the maintenance of welding guns, wire feeding devices, and welding machines.
Maintenance of welding gun
Maintenance of conductive nozzle: Regularly check the wear of the conductive nozzle, replace the worn conductive nozzle in a timely manner, and prevent unstable arc and decreased weld quality. Splashes sticking to the end of the conductive nozzle can affect the smoothness of wire feeding, so regular cleaning is necessary.
Maintenance of spring hose: Regularly clean the iron powder, dust and other impurities inside the spring hose to maintain the stability of wire feeding. If the hose is deformed or wired incorrectly, it should be replaced with a new hose in a timely manner, and ensure that the new hose matches the diameter and length of the welding wire.
Inspection of insulation rings: Ensure that the insulation rings are intact and prevent splashing from causing short circuits and welding gun burnout. At the same time, the insulating sleeve can also ensure that the protective gas flows out evenly.
Maintenance of wire feeding device
Pressure adjustment: Reasonably adjust the pressure of the wire feeding roller according to the diameter of the welding wire to prevent the welding wire from slipping or being scratched. Especially for flux cored welding wire, the feeding wheel pressure should be slightly lower than that of solid core welding wire.
Adjustment of straightening device: Adjust the straightening device according to the diameter of the welding wire to ensure smooth feeding of the welding wire.
Installation of welding wire reel: Ensure that the welding wire reel is installed firmly to prevent it from falling off during rotation.
Maintenance of wire feeding roller: Regularly check the wear of the wire feeding roller, remove dust and iron powder from the groove, and keep the roller clean.
Maintenance of welding machine
Regular inspection: When checking the internal and external connector terminals of the welding machine, be sure to turn off the power switch to ensure safety.
Remove dust accumulation: Regularly use compressed air to remove dust accumulation inside the welding machine, especially in parts such as transformers and reactance coils.
Check the power wiring: Ensure that the wiring parts of the power wiring are in good contact, without looseness or rust.
